Destiny-169   CD-Digipack / LP / digital DL
Release: July 21st 2017

File under: Agit-Punk / Avantgarde / Berlin

MDK / Mekanik Destruktiw Komandöh, a punk band of the first hour and presumably Berlin's first protagonists of new music during late 70s, who consistently used own material and German-language lyrics, have a new album!
West-Berlin's legendary Agit-Punk, Wave & Avantgarde-Rock group returns after 34 years! Punk meets art & improvisation, jazz meets agitation, energetically, existentially and crucially questioning.

"Surprise! A normal album from one of the most unique German bands of all time. 'Normal' meaning that once again, MDK has made something different from all their other recordings."       Jello Biafra

The basic idea behind MDK has always been the collective. A live concert is always a common event, consisting of pure and positive energy. Always good for an explosion. And even if it's the explosion of silence.
This has been captured loud and clearly on "manifestation" because the songs were recorded live for the most part, during a short period.

“Punk with german lyrics came to West Berlin for the very first time in 1978 because of the rough-but-hearty voice of singer Volker Hauptvogel. The breaking news that Volkers group MDK has recently been resurrected with tried and trusted old and young musical friends in a recording studio near the northern sea is neither nautical yam nor alternative fact - it`s the plain and upbeat truth!"
Wolfgang Müller - Die Tödliche Doris
